Reading and the Great War

OHOS artists were invited by the Friends of Reading University to organise a heritage display for their succesful and moving event commemorating "Reading and the Great War".  Because OHOS occupies Brock Keep in Reading it organises occasional exhibitions about the Royal Berkshire Regiment, for which the Keep was originally built.  The Rifles Museum in the Wardrobe, Salisbury kindly lent items for this event at the Institute of Education, London Road Campus.  Artists Anna Mitchell and Roxi Shields photographed some of the exhibits using photographic equipment bought with the help of Battle Community First.  Members of the public also brought in personal items for display and to be photographed.
